Bouquet support
Something not working, or an idea for making Bouquet better? Email me.
I’m Einar, the developer of Bouquet. For privacy questions, you can use the same address. Read the privacy policy for how support information is handled.
Reporting a problem
These details help me investigate:
- Your Bouquet version and macOS version, and whether you installed from TestFlight or the App Store.
- Your storage provider, such as Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, or MinIO.
- What you tried, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- The exact error message and, if useful, a screenshot with private information hidden.
Do not send secret access keys, session tokens, passwords, private file contents, or presigned download links.
Connection problems
Check the connection’s endpoint, region, and credentials against your provider’s settings. An “Access Denied” error can mean the credentials are valid but do not have permission for the requested bucket or operation.
If you use AWS profiles, allow Bouquet to access your AWS configuration folder when prompted. If an SSO session has expired, sign in again.
Refreshing buckets and files
Click the bucket list and press ⌘R to refresh buckets. Click the file list and press ⌘R to refresh the current folder.
Transfers and folder sync
Check the transfer’s error message, your connection, available disk space, and the permissions for the source and destination. If Bouquet requests access to a local folder, select that folder again.
For unexpected sync behavior, pause the sync while you investigate. Include which direction failed and whether the affected file changed locally, remotely, or in both places.
Shell hooks
Open the bucket inspector and choose Hooks… (or Add Hook…). Use Test and check Recent Runs for output and errors.
To use your login shell and installed tools, choose Install… for the optional hook runner and follow the folder permission prompt. If the runner is outdated, choose Update…. Tools referenced by your command, such as the AWS CLI, must also be installed.
A failed hook does not undo the upload or other storage operation that triggered it.
Requirements
Bouquet requires macOS 14 or later and access to an Amazon S3 or S3-compatible storage service. Your storage provider’s charges are separate from Bouquet.
